NEWS FLASH!

Help get the Acme All Stars back on the track in 2010! The 'tanked' economy slowed them down for too long, but the race is on to get the bikes and the riders to both Virginia International Raceway and to Barber Motorsports.

You can help! The Acme All Stars t-shirt sponsorship is underway. For a minimum of $100 you can have your name or your company's name on the back of this hot red All Star t-shirt. 100% of all sponsorship funds go towards new race tires and transponder rentals... please help this plucky team of women get back on the track!

Team Members:

Linda CluxtonLinda
Linda Cluxton has ridden motorcycles for more than 35 years and competed in scrambles in New England in the 70s. For 30 years she photographed national and international motorcycle events for magazines, manufacturers, and USA Team Husqvarna. She aced the Ed Bargy Racing School in Nashville in 2007 and finished 5th in her first AHRMA race at Barber Motorsports Track. She has raced at Roebling Road and Talladega GP as well. Linda is a graphic designer and Director of Communication at Christ School. She currently rides a BMW R75 for fun and plans to get a sidecar for her new granddaughter.

Dottie MatternDottie
Dottie Mattern has ridden motorcycles for 45 years, and toured in many countries world-wide by motorcycle. She started motorcycle racing in 1972 “in the dirt,” i.e. motorcross, enduros, scrambles and dual sport events. Her first experience racing on a road course came last fall when she attended road racing school with Linda. She has raced at Talladega GP and at Barber Motorsports. Dottie has owned several antique motorcycles and was an officer and member of the Board of Directors of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America, which attracted her to the prospects of vintage racing. She recently set a land speed record at the Maxton Mile of 91.4 miles per hour on Scott Olofson’s 1937 handshifter Indian. Dottie is a retired college professor.

Cathy HakerCathy Haker is crew member plus ultra! Devoted to the team, she helps with race training, transportation, pit crew, and prepares gourmet picnic for starving racers. If she ever gets on the track... watch out.
